The Data Processing Clerk for Seattle Children`s Enterprise AnaAnalytics (SCEA) platform is a highly technical and diverse position. There are four facets to this position: managerial, technical, leadership and partnering (end-user community, IS infrastructure and other application teams).
Working with Lead Architect for SCEA is responsible for setting the platform technical direction to support big data and analytics at scale across Seattle Children;s (Hospital, Research and Foundation). This includes architectural reviews and technical oversight for the platform, design, and evaluation/selection of core technology components (ETI, BI Tools, databases, monitoring tools, etc.) In addition, responsible for leading the implementation, evolution and support of these core platform components, and assists the development teams and user community in leveraging these components.
In addition, responsible for recruiting and developing a world class technical team responsible for the core building blocks of the SCEA platform (ETL, BI Tools, databases, etc.): and serve in a leadership capacity to mentor less senior technical applications staff. In additionm the position must manage, implement and evaluate polciesm procedures, protocols and systems to secure and safeguard patient, financial, employee. and other proprietary data and systems throughout Seattle Children`s, and manage oversee and coordinate associated projects in order to effectively prioritize and manage multiple priorities and to ensure timely identification and resolution of conflicts/issues.
Requirements
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor`s degree.
- Ten (10) years in the Information Technology field, including six (6) years working in a senior database/applications capacity wirh two(2) years leading IT resources
- Demonstrated experience with implementation of Big Data and analytics at massive scale - healthcare experience a plus.
- Technical experience with major massively parallel databases - experience with open source databses like Hadoop a plus.
